Hi Laura,

I enjoyed your question to Peter and Paris about the scene where Charlie and his grandfather float up in the air, and I'm sure Peter and Paris did too. I was there with my brother, sister, and mother as a birthday present for my mother. We didn't stay for the movie and left right away. I did attend the Friday movie and blogged about it at http://detroitmoviepalaces.com/blog/?p=2950.

Thanks for your interest in subscribing. The blog host (WordPress) has an RSS link at the bottom of the page - I'm not sure how that works. I've been doing about 1-2 a month, so if you check around the first of the month you should always see something new.

The Redford has done a great job with the meet-and-greet events. They've just announced their next one with Shirley Jones and The Music Man on September 14 (http://redfordtheatre.com/movie/).

Justin is great. I've heard him do everything from a Frank Sinatra ballad to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Hi Bob,

It was nice to see you at the Redford Theatre for Willy Wonka. I came to look for you after the Q & A was over and I couldn't find you. Sorry I missed you.

I thought their VIP ticket experience was great and I look forward to other special events that they will do in the future. Did you hear the organist play? Justin LaVoie is amazing!!! http://redfordtheatre.com/artists/

Thanks for writing your blog. How can I subscribe so I get updates as you release them?

It was another fun Christmas season at the Michigan and Redford, including White Christmas (both theaters), Meet Me in St. Louis, A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, and the Redford theater organ concert (always one of the highlights of my Christmas season).

Allen,

I've never seen the Redford as busy as it was that weekend. My compliments to all of the Redford staff for managing the large crowds and helping everybody have a good time.

I had a fun time at your opening movie for 2012, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's always a thrill to see the Redford curtain completely open to present a CinemaScope movie.
